Rockaway Music offers piano lessons for children and adults. They are taught
on a one-to-one basis ( student-teacher ) at our Morris Plains, New Jersey location.
Lesson times are scheduled weekly - one lesson per week. For your convenience, they are available Monday through Friday ( day and evening ) and Saturday ( all day ).
Our instructors have extensive musical backgrounds and
teaching experience in the music field. Whether you’re a
beginner taking your first piano lesson or you’ve been playing
piano for a while and want to continue your musical education,
our professional piano teaching staff will be sure to
accommodate your needs during your private piano lesson. We
provide piano lessons for beginners in our private music
store facilities located in Rockaway, new Jersey.

University of California, Irvine researchers found that after six months of piano lessons, preschoolers performed 34% higher on spatial-temporal testing than those who received no training and those who received computer training.

Second Graders Do Sixth grade Math
Second grade students who were given four months of piano keyboard training, as well as time using math puzzle software, scored 27% higher on proportional math and fractions tests than children who received no special instruction. They were also able to solve proportional math problems at a sixth grade level.
Music Students Score Higher on SATs
College-bound seniors who’d had school music experience scored 52 points higher on the verbal portion of their SAT’s and 37 points higher in math than those without arts instruction.
